Avery Island Louisiana - The Jungle Gardens at Avery Island will host the 3rd Annual Jungle Gardens 5K, Trail Run, Stroll, and 1 mile fun run to be held on November 5, 2016. The event will begin at 8 am with a full schedule of events. The running event will be immediately followed by food, entertainment, and awards. All entrants will have a full day pass to explore the gardens and enjoy the area. The race will include a new 4-5 mile trail run and a stroll for those who would just like to walk the course and enjoy the scenery. Event organizers (Team FSS) are donating all proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and are expecting a large field of runners and walkers for the inaugural event. The event is being sponsored by Fire & Safety Specialists and organized by Team FSS St. Jude. The course will be unique to other races in the area and will feature hills that no other area race can match. The course layout will make for a tough and rewarding run, excellent for advanced as well as novice runners. The scenic beauty will only add to the great experience of the day.
Mark your calendar on Saturday, October 22nd from 12pm-4pm for a monstrously good time with your kids at Avery Island's first Fall Fest that will be held at Jungle Gardens!
